OUR STORY
THE VENUE
Nestled along the stunning coastline of Ericeira, Aethos Ericeira Hotel offers the perfect setting for our wedding celebration. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this boutique hotel blends luxury with nature, providing a serene and stylish escape. Known for its breathtaking views, elegant design, and warm hospitality, Aethos Ericeira will be exclusively ours for the weekend, ensuring an intimate and unforgettable experience.
From Lisbon Airport, Aethos Ericeira is about a 45-minute drive. The most convenient option is by car, either through a rental or a private transfer, following the A8 and A21 highways towards Ericeira. Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Bolt are also available, with fares ranging from €60 to €80. For a budget-friendly option, you can take the Aerobus or metro to Campo Grande bus station and then catch a direct bus to Ericeira, though this route takes longer.

What is the weather like in September in Ericeira, Portugal?
In September, the weather in Ericeira is usually mild and pleasant. You can expect temperatures between 64°F and 77°F, with some sunny days and occasional light rain. We recommend bringing layers to be comfortable throughout the day, as it can be a bit cooler in the evening.
Is the venue accessible for guests in wheelchairs?
Yes, the Hotel Aethos is fully accessible to guests with mobility needs. There are wheelchair-friendly entrances and elevators to ensure all our guests can comfortably enjoy the ceremony and celebrations. If you require any special assistance, please let us know in advance.
Until when do we need to confirm our attendance at the wedding?
We kindly ask that you confirm your attendance by May 20th. This will help us ensure that we can make the necessary arrangements for seating, meals, and accommodations. Please RSVP as soon as possible to make sure we can accommodate everyone comfortably.
What should I wear for the wedding?
The wedding will be formal. we suggest wearing something elegant but comfortable. As the evening may get a little chilly, we kindly advise you to bring a light jacket or something warm to stay comfortable during the evening.
What is the dress code for the second day event?

How far is the venue from Lisbon Airport?
The Hotel Aethos is approximately a 45-minute drive from Lisbon Airport (LIS), which is the closest major international airport. We recommend arranging transport in advance, and we can assist you with transfer options if needed.
Do I need a visa or ESTA to travel to Portugal?
If you are traveling from the United States, you do not need a visa to visit Portugal for stays of up to 90 days. However, starting in 2024, U.S. citizens will need to apply for an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) before entering any Schengen Area countries, including Portugal. You can apply for an ETIAS online, and it is a quick process. Make sure to check the latest travel requirements before booking your flight.
Can I bring a plus one to the wedding?
We’d love to have all our loved ones with us, but due to venue size and other arrangements, we are currently limiting the guest list to those specifically invited. If you are unsure whether you can bring a plus one, please check your invitation details or contact us directly.
Are there any recommendations for things to do in ericeira?

Do I need to bring a power adapter for my devices?
Yes, in Portugal, the power plugs are type F, and the voltage is 230V with a frequency of 50Hz. If your devices use a different plug type, be sure to bring a suitable adapter.
